April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born July 4 in 1995. As a seventh-grade student she began taking guitar lessons and piano lessons. It was this that ignited her love for music writing. April Lockhart composed her first song"Different" when she was 12 years old. At 14 years old, April was spending a lot of time writing and honed her musical abilities. Then, in the following months, April began traveling with her father as well as write her songs either in NY as well as LA. The month also saw her include different topics related to some of her classmates who struggle with such things as social pressure and teen suicide in the song"Take" my Hand. Lockhart is an influencer in the beauty and lifestyle industry who has a growing following. She collaborates with the renowned brand Ilia together, and is also a lifestyle expert. The disability she has is part of her personality, but it's not the entire picture. Lockhart's profile on Instagram doesn't hide her disability but doesn't focus solely on it. What is the message? that we are all a part of a multitude and that we are all unique and we're more than our physical selves. Lockhart stated in a video interview that she doesn't wish to be defined solely by her disability. She doesn't wish to be a disability advocate who only speaks about it. There are a variety of aspects of Lockhart. But it does not affect my day-to-day living. I continue to do my normal activities and have adapted to my disability. Since it's a my identity and something worthy of talking about. The journey of self-acceptance that Lockhart has taken is one that will last for a long time, and she is an inspiration for this purpose. Yet, she confesses having moments of feeling uneasy about her appearance and wearing clothing that showed her arms. It's her choice to wear what she likes, and proudly shares photos of her wearing these clothes. What makes self-love so appealing to her is the fact that it's not a destination. It's a journey, I'm sure that you never get there. It's important to be around individuals who truly know the person you are.

As a teenager, in her early years, Ashley found herself hanging out with older girls and this impacted her self-confidence because she believed they to be more mature and, according to her, prettier than she was. Ashley describes herself as an "hot mess" when she was a teen. Ashley's mom enrolled her in modeling courses to help her gain more confident. Ashley considered becoming a model in the fashion industry for a career. Ashley's mother put her in modelling classes to increase her confidence. After she was told she couldn't be a successful model because of how short she is, Ashley thought about becoming a lawyer as well as studying psychology. Ashley has convinced her parents she should attend a private institution that offered a psychology and law school. She was waitress prior to that. She wants to play the part of a Bond super-hero or Wonder Woman.
